About LaDonna

I was born and raised outside of Dayton, OH. My dream as a little girl was to make a difference and see the world. I wasn’t sure how I was going to accomplish my dreams, but my journey began when I went to college.

I was a first-generation college student.  I majored in operations management, purchasing, transportation and logistics at The Ohio State University.

I then went on to work for a Fortune 500 Medical Products Distributor.  I worked as a distribution supervisor for a medical supply warehouse in Bedford, MA and later a transportation manager in Baltimore, MD responsible for deliveries to customers in 5 states across the Mid-Atlantic.

I eventually went back to school and received an MBA from Vanderbilt and a PhD in Logistics from The University of Tennessee.  I served as an assistant professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and Florida State University. During this journey, I have visited Bangladesh, Amsterdam, Dubai, France, and New Zealand. Now, after many years I am a supply chain professor at Auburn University.
